My taste in art changed has changed as Ive grown older. When I was a teenager, I loved Renoir and Van Gogh. Then I went to the Hermitage in St.Petersburg and saw The Dance by Matisse...I will never forget it. This opened a new chapter. This led to Pollack who I still love.brbrIve ended up loving the banal now, I like the quiet scenes given to us by Pieter de Hooch and Jan Vermeer, Dutch artists of the th century. These are such ordinary paintings, of ordinary things but really.....really captivating. brbrThey say you can create a soundtrack to your life but I think the same can be said with paintings.
