Is love a state of consciousness?

Question

Is love a state of consciousness?

Answer

There are many different answers to this question depending on the level one is speaking about. Love is energy, the energy which creates worlds. It is the energy which gives life, which causes the quantum particles in matter to vibrate, and that includes thoughts since thoughts are energy and energy cannot be destroyed. This is a key understanding. brOn all other levels it is a matter of interpretation by those levels.brWhen this energy is resisted, the result is a lack of it. ie. darkness is the absence of light, evil the absence of good, meaning what a particular entity wants.brTo more specifically answer the question, no, love is not a state of consciousness since consciousness requires awareness and this is a rare commodity even at a lower level. Love is eternal and exists whether anyone or anything is conscious of it. The reason the emotions figure so much in the picture is simply that emotional energy vibrates at a much higher speed when positive or negative. It feels super good and its absence feels super bad. We either want it, or we dont want its absence, however this is a mistake since focus on the subject of the desire here, the absence of love can only attract the absence of love.

Is life worth living?

Question

Is life worth living?
Im n ot depressed, rather just being realistic. Think about all the things we have in this life. Competition, materialism, hate, diseases, accidents, problems, injustice, corruption, confusion, so many things, and in the end, no matter who you are, how much money you have, or where you live, youd have to face some kind of hardship or another.

Answer

wonderful question!brbrIm not being sarcastic either. That is what most people deep down are really wondering. Sure people can say they quotlivequot for something weather it be god, money, love, a job and on and on. The largest majority believe they have to be quotgoodquot in order to move on to a better afterlife. brbrThat question brings up so many other questions as well. brbrShould we give up after getting this far?brbrIs there really an afterlife and will our actions here have anything to do with what it might be?brbrI think that life can be what we make it. Personally I believe we need to stop letting others tell us what life is media, propaganda, monetary system...all that nonsense and make our own little spot in the world to simply live and put behind all the structure thats building up around us. Problem is the world is becoming increasingly small with industrialization and technology. There are very few places left to get away short of dying. Of course nobody truly knows what happens when we die except for those who already have. Its nice to think of a happy place waiting for us where there is no pain, no worries and endless bliss. I dont think it is that simple however. The story of Jesus for instance was written years before he was supposedly born. Only at the time everyone regarded the story of quotMithraquot as a myth and only a myth. When it was retold the religious leaders needed something more legitimate in order to control peoples lives. Now its not just our parents or the church or the government that wants to control our lives but practically everyone wanting to control everyone elses lives simultaneously. Some are a little more proficient and determined then others.brbrThat is the largest problem with life. The control factor. If we could break away from that need to control others and let life happen as it should it could be heaven on earth.brbrPerhaps the afterlife is also what you make of it. Just as this place can be. So if you get there and believe its a horrible place then your mind will make it a reality. Maybe people have to take action in the afterlife to make it a better place just as people have to do here. If no action is ever taken then nothing will change and well be prisoners of our own conciseness allowing an outsider to tell us what reality is even though they dont have the answer themselves.

Is life truly worth living?

Question

Is life truly worth living?
suffering, wars, tears, suicide, heartbroken, despair, harsh words... and so much more... is shortterm happiness enough to make them go away? to make us forget? ...

Answer

Always! Consider happiness as something that comes and goes. I like sad things as much as joyous things because they make me feel something. Thats just me of course, and I am not attempting to make your view out as anything its your view. If you dwell upon it for a moment its all the freedom we really have. The freedom to think what we choose, then the liberty to act upon it. The terrible things youve brought out in your subtext are all valid reasons to question this existence, but there are balances in place as well. A child laughing almost always makes me laugh too! I like to eat baked goods even though I know Im not supposed to and both the eating and the not supposed to make me laugh as well. Moods are the guide I think, and we are all subject to our own humours. I have one more trick up my sleeve and I bet you know what it is dont you? Dancing. It transcends the moment, either happy or sad. I dont dance at funerals, but by all I hold dear I dance after because it helps wash away the pain. I hope your darkness lifts soon if thats how your feeling. This is a wonderful planet were riding on, and I have felt much of what youve expressed in your subtext in my days but it need not be so and therefor for me it isnt. This was one of the best questions Ive encountered so far, thank you very much and take care of yourself whoever you are.

Hi dear friendI hope you have a wonderful weekendwhats left of it!brOkay if I feel this as I go along? Is life really much better if you view it from a philosophical perspective almost all the time?

Question

Is life really much better if you view it from a philosophical perspective almost all the time?

Answer

In some ways, yes. Its nice to know your own mind well enough to free yourself from the tyranny of your emotions amp desires. You do fewer things you regret, and more things youre proud of. You let go of anxieties, and suffer less.brbrIn other ways, no. You can begin to feel detached, and your experience of life can get less intense and spontaneous. In the middle of, say, falling in love, youre thinking, quotthis, too, shall passquot thats a loss.

Is KINDNESS necessary for SURVIVAL?

Question

Is KINDNESS necessary for SURVIVAL?

Answer

Short answer Yes.brbrThat is, cooperation is necessary. We sometimes refer to this as quotenlightened self interestquot.brbrA human being developing out of a social group would not survive Yea, Im sure there are exceptions, but they are rare. years ago, we depended on having big fast adult males around to protect the group just as we depend on groups of people to gather fruits and veggies, etc.brbrUltimately, we gain much from mutual cooperation and ultimately society is an extension of it.brbrI believe quotkindnessquot is simply an extension of society. That is, we dont have to know exactly WHY helping the people around us will help us in the end, but in the long run, it is a good idea.brbrSociologists may understand why, but most people dont really even know what sociology is.brbrIn addition, kindness is required to bring up children. That is, the human animal requires nurturing well beyond just mothers milk to survive. That interplay works throughout the family quotunitquot and extends to extended family, tribe, etc.brbrI believe that this interplay is required for an animal that isnt very fast, isnt very hardy and doesnt procreate terribly quickly. Our native intelligence that is, raw power without experience is a HUGE win ... but only in a society with a memory. As bright as we may be, we couldnt communicate or represent ideas symbolically without a history of communication and ... society.brbrWe fail, I believe, in our seeming inability to extend that to people across the world. That is, how I can see a next door neighbor someone who I see daily but has no relationship to me as significantly more in need of protection than someone in Yemen is beyond me.brbrOr lets put it more directly Why do we care more about dead American soldiers than dead Iraqis? What makes people in the US more worthy of money, protection and admiration than Iraqis?brbrClearly kindness has practical limits. Thats too bad.

Is it wrong to desire Material things..?

Question

Is it wrong to desire Material things..?
Or is it ok as long as you dont overindulge in it..

Answer

I dont think we should feel guilty for wanting to have nice things but we shouldnt become greedy either, I think that everything is fine when we are in balance and everything is wrong when its unbalanced. At the end of the day we wont be taking any of these things with us once were gone, so we should not get overly attached to the material things, they are there to make us happy and more comfortable but its a superficial happiness and usually doesnt last for a long period of time. We shouldnt depend solely on materialistic things to define us or bring us happiness because we will constantly be in the store seeking more happiness or trying to fill some void. This all may sound basic but I know plenty of people who rely on materialistic things for their happiness.

Is it wrong to clone humans?

Question

Is it wrong to clone humans?
Thanks for sharing your views. Have a great day!

Answer

No scientific experimentation or technological invention is ever inherently right or wrong... it just gives power and it is up to our goodness or evilness, as the case may be, to put it into right or wrong uses...... atomic energy and bomb is the classic case in point. Human cloning can have the potential to create unbelievable medical benefits for the mankind!! I do not believe in religious arguments in this context and foolish beliefs such as God would be angry or unhappy... God can never be unhappy or angry... nothing can happen without God allowing it to happen.

Is it wrong to be greedy?

Question

Is it wrong to be greedy?

Answer

Socially, yes. Movies, music, books, religions all try and teach us to be unselfish to share. There is something admirable about those who arent greedy and we are taught from childhood not to be so. I personally can be greedy about certain things, and Im aware of it. I try to share and get past my greedy feelings when they come, but Im also aware that it is apart of human nature to have greed. Without it we would not have survived before we civilized, and it still lingers with us today. brbrBecause of my own greed I can never blame someone else for being greedy, it would be wrong of me. I know there is bad in it, but my internal duality of the subject may not be agreeable with most people.
